The West Central Tribune is seeking a talented journalist to cover our local and regional public safety beat and report in print, digital and video forms. This journalist will report on breaking news, crime, courts and safety, while working with local and regional public safety departments, courts, crime victims and witnesses. This position requires a self-starter and organized journalist. The successful candidate will be someone who knows or can learn the legal system and maintain our established working relations with law enforcement. We are seeking a reporter with some experience, while newer journalists with a strong work ethic, great clips and social media experience will be considered. West Central Tribune Media is based in Willmar, Minn., the heart of west central Minnesota where Minnesota’s lakes begin. Our newspaper reaches more than 12,000 subscribers and our web site, wctrib.com, averages 110,000 people and 1.4 million page views per month.
