Meet the Presenter …   

Brian Steffen (@BrianSteffen) is professor and chair of Communication & Media Studies at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, where he teaches journalism and social media courses. Steffen has been a professor at Simpson since 1989. In addition to his role at Simpson, he serves as the editor of the national research journal Teaching Journalism and Mass Communication.

Prior to teaching, Steffen worked as a government and politics reporter for the Ames Daily Tribune and the Associated Press.
