Web analytics involves the collection and analysis of Internet data. It lets you know who is coming to your site and what they are looking at. That data can be used in myriad ways to provide insight into readers, customers, prospects and the information they seek. In this Conversation Among Crafts, we talk to professionals who use web data far beyond the simple “how many hits did I get?” and instead are exploring public opinion mining, affinity strings and audience analysis as a basis for developing new editorial products and search-informed content creation.
