Help MNI help your newspaper – donate an item for the MNI Silent Auction at the convention
The annual silent auction at the MNA Convention & Trade Show is the largest single fundraiser of the year for the Minnesota News Media Institute, MNA’s nonprofit foundation.
If you value MNI-funded programs – which include Online Media Campus, the MNA Internship Program, Citizen Journalism University, Digiversity.tv, the Editors & Publishers Community Leadership Program, MNA Student Sessions and more – help support them by donating a silent auction item. The more we raise, the more MNI can do for MNA members.

- Minnesota Zoo tickets
- Golf outings
- Twin Cities hotel stays
- Xcel Energy Center concert tickets

Reach out to your:
- local chamber
- visitors bureau
- boutique or resort hotel
- outfitter/guide
- museum or attraction
- arts center
- golf course
- brewery/winery/distillery
- unique local maker or artist
- theater or concert venue
Ask for an experience or goods that you can donate to support MNI. Then reach out to Laura Niemi (laura@mna.org) by Jan. 19 to get your donation entered into the auction. Then don’t forget to bid!
