UPDATE: View photos from all of the visits on MNA’s Facebook Page!
This summer, newspapers across Minnesota will receive a visit from members of the MNA Board of Directors, its past presidents or members of the MNA staff.
It has been more than 20 years since the last MNA “every member visit.” MNA leaders crisscrossed the state in the 70’s and again in the 90’s.
This summer, the group plans to visit newspapers in all 87 counties.
The purpose of the visits are to:
- Make personal contacts with each and every MNA member.
- Learn first-hand how MNA can better serve its members.
- Provide up-to-date information about MNA member benefits, services and training programs.
- Stay in touch with MNA members.
Visits will take place during the summer and fall months and should be completed by November. Each visit is expected to take about an hour.
Newspapers can expect to receive phone calls from MNA leaders to set up appointments during the planned visit period. Each “visitor” plans to stop by 3-4 newspapers in their assigned regions on visit days.
We are very excited for this opportunity and are looking forward to making contacts with each and every Minnesota Newspaper Association member in coming months.
I look forward to seeing some of you soon!
Rollin Bergman, MNA President
