Annual MNA-AP Jobs Fair

N1310P63012CThe 17th annual Jobs and Internships Fair sponsored by the Minnesota Associated Press and the Minnesota Newspaper Association will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 in the Pinnacle Ballroom at the Commons Hotel in Minneapolis.

For everyone
Come early for breakfast and network with media professionals and journalism students during breakfast at 8 a.m., interviews are from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

MNA Members – recruiters

The job fair is a great place to recruit emerging student journalists for entry-level positions and internship opportunities.  Students seek positions in all areas of the newspaper including reporting, online journalism, copy/section editors, page designers, graphic artists and photographers.  Students from all over the state of Minnesota and surrounding areas are invited to participate.

The recruiter registration fee is $20 per newspaper.

Students

This jobs fair has an established track record for getting students internships and first jobs. It’s a great opportunity to talk with professional news managers looking for reporters, online journalists, copy/section editors, page designers, graphic artists and photographers. Weekly newspapers and broadcast members have again been invited to interview students interested in community journalism.

The student registration fee is $10 per person if received before or postmarked on Monday, Sept. 23. The registration fee on or after Tuesday, September 24 will be $15 per person.
